Andre du Plessis
Andre is the co-founder of Capitec and was appointed as its chief financial officer in 2002 after being its financial manager since 2000. Prior to founding Capitec, Andre served as the chief executive of financial management at Boland PKS. Before that he was a partner at Arthur Andersen for 10 years.
He has a B.Com degree and is a qualified CA(SA) with expertise in the areas of business advisory, financial consulting, and strategic and financial management.
In 2019, he was nominated for the 2019 CFO Awards and walked away with the Finance & Technology Award and the Compliance & Governance Award.
