Brendan Harris started as South32’s Chief Financial Officer right from the beginning and played an integral role in the set-up, demerger and listing of the company. He is responsible for corporate reporting, corporate affairs, investor relations, risk and assurance, tax, treasury and planning. In 2019 he became the company's Chief Commercial Officer and 2020 he shifted to its CHRO. Before joining South32 Brendan was Head of Investor Relations at BHP Billiton from 2011 to 2014 and Vice President Investor Relations Australasia from July 2010. He has held various roles in investment banking including Executive Director Metals and Mining Research at Macquarie Equities. He has a B.Sc from Flinders University.
