Buhle Hanise has been the COO of Business Restructuring Services (BRS) at BDO South Africa since February 2023. Before that she was the CFO at BAIC SA for three years.
Her career started at KPMG South Africa in 2005 as a senior accountant. In 2009, she was appointed a credit manager at Nedbank. A year later, Buhle was appointed senior credit manager at Standard Bank Group, before becoming a senior account manager at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) in 2012.
Buhle completed Duke Corporate Education’s Women Leading Africa Board Leadership Programme, as well as Fordham Gabelli School of Business’s Emerging Markets and Country Risk Analysis, and an advanced certificate in insolvency law and practise from the University of Johannesburg in 2014. A year before that she completed the advanced course in business rescue practise at the Law Society of South Africa as well as the Development Finance Programme at Stellenbosch University.
She is a qualified CA(SA), with a BComm Honours degree in accounting.
