Grant Hardy has been working in Capitec’s finance function since 2015 and was appointed as head of financial management in 2019. During this time, he worked closely with then CFO André du Plessis and was identified as his successor to the role. In June 2022, he was officially appointed as the company’s new CFO.
Before joining Capitec, Grant worked as the deputy head of finance at Haitong. Prior to that, he served in various treasury, balance sheet planning and analysis management roles for companies based in the United Kingdom, including Nomura and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Grant served in various management roles at Standard Bank from 2008 until 2011, and briefly spent time at Morgan Stanley. He completed his articles with the financial institutions services team at Deloitte South Africa in 2006.
