Leanne Thomas has been the CFO of the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) since April 2023. She has been with the company for more than 10 years, starting as a group financial manager in 2013 and working her way to her most recent position as senior group financial manager.
Her career started as a trainee accountant at RSM Betty and Dickson in 2006. In 2009 she became a financial accountant at BP Interntrans Oil, and after a short stint as a self-employed accountant and auditor, returned to the corporate world as a financial accountant on contract at EY.
Leanne has a BCom honours degree in accounting from the University of Johannesburg.
