Matshepo More served her articles at Deloitte, specialising in financial institutions, before being seconded to the New York office for four months to handle a large asset management company. She was promoted to audit manager on her return to SA. She left Deloitte to join the PIC in 2009, where she was appointed as Finance Manager. In 2011, she was appointed as CFO of the PIC, where she was responsible for the corporation’s finances, ensuring that the PIC complies with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), which regulates financial management of all public entities in the national government and provincial governments. Matshepo was removed from the position in 2021. She was also a member of the Financial Reporting Standards Council, a statutory body responsible for issuing financial reporting standards in South Africa. Matshepo is a CA (SA) and she has B.Sc.
