Maureen Manyama has been appointed as the CFO of The National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA). She was previously the CFO of Wits University since 1 March 2022. Her career has seen her hold many titles, including CFO of Hollard Insurance BU, Airports Company South Africa, and the South African Forestry Company (SAFCOL). She also briefly served as the acting CEO of SAFCOL from 2011 until 2012.
Maureen has held various non-executive directorship roles at organisations like South African Reserve Bank, Rural Housing Loan Fund and the Johannesburg Metropolitan Bus Company. She has also held various chairperson roles, including for the audit and risk committee at the Public Administration Leadership Management Academy.
Her career started as a trainee accountant at PwC in 1999. The next year, she joined the Auditor General of SOuth Africa as an audit manager. She later joined Absa as a financial manager of its Home Loans division, and served as the executive of finance and support of the Postbank Division at the South African Post Office for four years.
She holds an MBA from GIBS Business School, as well as a postgraduate diploma in integrated reporting and a BCom honours degree in taxation from the University of Pretoria. She is a qualified CA(SA) from SAICA, and also hold a BCompt Honours and CTA in accounting from UNISA.
