Michael Buckham was appointed CFO and Executive Director of Sygnia in February 2017. He resigned on 31 December 2018 and became CFO of Ngwedi Investment Holdings, a position which he held until April 2021. He is currently a Consultant for Taquanta Investment Holdings. He also serves as Joint Chief Operating Officer of Prescient Investment Management (Pty) Ltd. He served a Financial Director of Prescient Holdings (Pty) Ltd and joined Prescient Holdings during October 2007 to head up Prescient Life from an administration, accounting, compliance and operational point of view. Mike served as Financial Director of Prescient Limited until January 2017 and also served as its Chief Executive Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cape Town in 1994. He furthered his studies with a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting at UCT in 1995, before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1996.
