Mobasheer Patel was appointed CFO of Media 24 in 2018. Prior to joining Media24, Mobasheer served in various senior roles at Old Mutual including chief financial officer of Old Mutual Wealth and Investment Group. At Old Mutual Investment Group, Mobasheer was responsible for the financial, governance, strategic projects and transformation. He has held various board positions including Old Mutual Investment Group Holdings, Old Mutual Unit Trust, Futuregrowth Asset Management, Amabubesi Investments and Curo Fund Services. Prior to joining Old Mutual Investment Group, Mobasheer spent eight years at Old Mutual Corporate Finance as a senior corporate finance manager working over a range of merger and acquisition transactions. He is a chartered accountant (placed 4th in the Chartered Accountants of South Africa board examination) and holds an Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Johannesburg.
