Osman Mia has more than 20 years’ experience in the world of finance. He graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a B.Com in 1997. He then went to work at PwC. In 2001 Osman joined Tetra Pak as a Financial Controller and was quickly promoted to Financial Manager and then Financial Director. In 2013, he joined AstraZeneca as CFO for Southern Africa. Osman describes his work as leading the organisation’s financial awareness, budgeting and management of financial information through effective business partnering. He was appointed CFO of the Middle East and Africa in 2019.
