Pieter Albertus Scholtz was appointed Financial Director of Cognition Holdings in February 2008. He served as Cognition Holdings’ Company Secretary until February 2014. Prior to being Financial Director at Cognition Holdings Ltd, he was Chief Financial Officer at the Commission for Gender Equality. In 2007 he was the Group Finance Manager for Blue IQ Holdings (Pty) Ltd. He did his articles at the Johannesburg office of the Auditor-General where he stayed on until May 2005. During this period he was the appointed Training Officer for all the SAICA trainees within the Johannesburg Office, specialising in Performance Auditing. He was also the Senior Manager in charge of numerous high-profile government audits within the Gauteng Province. Pieter is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with a B.Com in Accounting, a B. Com Honours in CTA and CIMA.
