Polani Sokombela has been the CFO of the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) since March 2022. He has spent his entire career at the organisation, starting as an assistant audit manager in 2007 and becoming technical audit manager in 2012. A year later he was promoted to senior manager. Before becoming CFO, he was a business executive.

In 2021, Polani completed the executive development program in business administration, management and operations at the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
