Shabana Aboo Baker has been the group FD of Mustek since July 2022, after serving as the company’s group finance manager for two years before that.
Prior to this, she briefly served as a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria’s department of accounting.
Shabana started her career at Deloitte South Africa as an audit trainee in 2010, and worked her way up to audit manager and senior tax consultant in 2013, and was appointed associate director of audit and assurance for the firm in 2015.
She has a Mcom taxation degree, as well as a CTA and Bcom degree in accounting sciences from the University of Pretoria.
Shabana has been nominated for the 2024 CFO Awards for her work as the group FD of Mustek.
