Silindile Kubheka is Chartered Accountant CA (SA) and a certified internal auditor (CIA) with certificates in risk management, corporate governance and project management, among others. She started as a bookkeeper at Ngubane & Co in Durban. She then moved to Nkonki in Johannesburg to work with clients in the investment and telecoms space. After completing articles in 2007 and a short-term contract at the State Diamond Centre, she joined the internal audit division at KPMG. She joined National Treasury in 2012 as Director in financial accounting. In 2014 she worked for the Auditor General for two years as a Senior Manager. She was appointed CFO in April 2016 and stepped down in 2019. Silindile is currently the GM Loss Control and Transnet. She is a group member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and has a B.Com Honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
