Zaid Manjra has been the group FD of Woolworths since December 2023, after serving as the company’s interim CFO from July of that year. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in other leadership positions, including as head of group planning and reporting and finance manager of the group’s retail operations.
He also has a stint in the public sector, serving as the chairperson of the audit committee at the City of Cape Town for six years. Before that, he was the finance manager of sales, marketing and logistics at BP for seven years.
Zaid is a qualified chartered accountant, with a BCom degree and a post-graduate diploma in accounting. He also has a master of business leadership qualification.
