Sasol CFO Paul Victor, who implemented cost controls in tough times, nominated for CFO Awards.

Paul Victor has been nominated for the CFO Awards for his leadership at Sasol Limited

The CFO Awards 2019, known as the ‘Oscars for South African finance professionals’, gives CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions the opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for their exceptional performance and leadership.

Paul became Sasol’s CFO on 1 July 2016 after serving as their senior vice president of financial control services and acting CFO from 10 September 2013 to 28 February 2015. He has been instrumental in implementing Sasol’s cost containment programme and proactively supported the GEC in implementing a cash conservation response plan in reaction to the significant drop in the crude oil price. 

Prior to this, he was the a financial manager of Sasol Synfuels for over ten years. He previously worked for Harmony Gold and did his articles at PwC
