Innocent Gumbochuma nominated for 2024 CFO Awards

The South African Qualifications Authority CFO joins the list of leaders competing for the CFO of the Year title.

Innocent Gumbochuma has been nominated for the 2024 CFO Awards for his work at South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

He joins the list of nominees who will be competing to take home one (or more) of the 10 awards that will be up for grabs at the annual “Oscars of Finance”, including the coveted CFO of the Year title.

Following the grandiose success of the 10th Annual CFO Awards in 2023, CFO South Africa continues to shine a spotlight on the finest in finance and their achievements in the last year. On 13 November, the 2024 CFO Awards nominees will be celebrated during a gala ceremony at The Polo Room in Sandton.

Innocent has been the CFO of the SAQA since November 2022 after being the CFO of the Quality Council of Trades and Occupations for four years.

He joined the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations in 2013 as the director of finance and procurement and was promoted to CFO in 2018. Before this, he served as the senior manager of finance and supply chain at Umalusi for four years. He has also served in various accountant and analyst roles with NMB Technologies, Silvercote Investments, Reserve Bank and Civil Aviation Authority respectively.

Innocent was nominated for the 2020 CFO Awards for his work as the CFO of the Quality Council of Trades and Occupations.
