Ralph Buddle will take over as TFG’s new CFO starting 1 April, seeing acting FD Anthony Thunström resume his CEO role full-time.
TFG (The Foschini Group) has announced the appointment of Ralph Buddle as its new CFO, starting 1 April.
The appointment follows an extensive internal and external executive search. Ralph, who has been the group’s head of finance and advisory since September 2023, came out as the top candidate.
Ralph will be taking over from Anthony Thunström, who has been acting as FD alongside his role as CEO since December 2023. Ralph will also be appointed as a member of the Risk Committee.
He is a qualified chartered accountant and is a member of the board of trustees at the Table Mountain Fund. His previous experience includes being interim CFO and executive director at Oceana Group for a year, and acting company secretary for a couple of months.
He has also worked as the director of strategy and business development and head of corporate finance at Woolworths. He served in various senior finance manager roles at other companies before this, including Irvin and Johnson, Anglian Water Services and Multistar Tank Leasing.
Ralph finished his articles at MGI Bass Gordon in 1991.
