R9.47 billion surplus for SA's trade balance

SA's exports rose almost ten percent, on the back of a trade balance surplus in March.

According to new data from the South African Revenue Service (SARS), South Africa‘s trade balance swung to a R9.47 billion surplus in March. This, from a revised deficit of R603 million in February.

Moreover, the revenue agency said, exports rose by 9.2 percent, to R98.3 billion on a month-on-month basis in March, while imports fell 2 percent, to R88.8 billion.
