The judges have submitted their votes, the scores have been tallied and the auditors from SizweNtsalubaGobodo have sealed the envelopes. Tonight will be revealed who will follow in the footsteps of now-retired Standard Bank FD Simon Ridley and Alexander Forbes acting CEO Deon Viljoen (pictured together below) - and will be crowned CFO of the Year 2016.

Tonight, during a spectacular conference and gala event the winners of the 10 award categories will be announced. Which of the 25 nominees will go home with one of the beautiful, newly-designed awards (pictured)? Who will be the best Young CFO of the Year? Which public sector CFO will be celebrated? What will Prof Wiseman Nkuhlu share during his keynote speech?

As has become tradition, the 2016 CFO Awards will be held at the beautiful Summer Place in Johannesburg. It celebrates CFOs of listed companies, large corporations and government institutions and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership. With finance bosses of big banks, listed companies and government departments on the list of attendees, the event is proving to be the biggest and best on the annual CFO calendar.

The event will be chaired by the dynamic entrepreneur Vusi Thembekwayo, and attended by 250 CFOs and prominent leaders. During a master class and a series of high-level round table discussions prior to the awards ceremony, CFOs will discuss a variety of burning topics, including strategy execution, technology, transformation, compliance, business opportunities in the rest of Africa, and how to build winning cultures and sustainable leadership.
