Absa's Jason Quinn nominated for 2020 CFO Awards

Jason has been with Absa for more than 12 years and serves on various committees within the group.

Absa financial director Jason Quinn has been nominated for the 2020 CFO Awards, which will be taking place on 14 May. 

At the annual ‘Oscars for South African finance professionals’, which is now entering its seventh year, CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions are recognised and rewarded for their outstanding performance and leadership.

This was the second concurrent year in which Jason was nominated for the CFO Awards.

Jason was appointed financial director of Absa in September 2016. He joined the group in 2008 as a financial controller and was appointed as the head of finance in 2014 after holding several senior finance positions. 

He is the chairman of the models committee and a member of the group risk and capital management, credit concentration risk, information technology and separation oversight committees. 

Before joining the group, he was a partner at EY

Jason also serves as a director of Absa Financial Services and Woolworths Financial Services, and is an employer appointed trustee of the Absa Pension Fund. 

He holds a B.Com Hons from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is a CA(SA).
