Northam Platinum has appointed Alet Coetzee as their new CFO with effect from 15 November.

Alet Coetzee, who has more than ten years experience of and exposure to the mining and manufacturing industries, will be taking over as CFO of Northam Platinum from Ayanda Khumalo, who has resigned to take some time off before he starts a new career. He will be stepping down on 1 November.

Chief executive officer at Northam, Paul Dunne, welcomed Alet to the board:

“In a relatively short space of time Alet has become integral to the Northam finance function. She has worked closely with Ayanda, in overhauling the finance department and its responsibilities, in line with the group’s expansion and M&A activity.”

He said that Alet’s proactive and professional approach is a credit to the organisation, and that they are pleased to continue benefiting from her strong organisational and analytical abilities.

Chairman of the board, Brian Mosehla, thanked Ayanda for his unwavering loyalty over a period of eight years and for everything he has done to aid the company.
