All systems go for CFO Awards 2017

post-title

The long wait for the annual ‘Oscars for South African CFOs', which recognise CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions, and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership, is finally over.

Later today, leading finance professionals from across the spectrum of industry will come together to learn from each other and celebrate their achievements, while honouring their peers who have done exceptionally well over the past year.

The event is a culmination of a lengthy judging process, which includes two-hour interviews for each of the 26 exceptional candidates, has been completed. The judges have submitted their scoring of the competitive field of nominees and these have been audited. All that is left to do is to announce the winners in a black-tie evening of celebration.

The 2017 edition of the CFO Awards, under new headline sponsor Deloitte, promises to be the most exciting yet.

Last year's emcee, entrepreneur and globally renowned public speaker Vusi Thembekwayo will be hosting a masterclass on conversations every CFO should be having to move South Africa and their business forward before the dinner gets underway and he will be handing over the mic duties to Nik Rabinowitz. The stand-up comic's incisive wit is sure to lend a refreshing new element to proceedings.

CFOs have been encouraged to bring along their teams, which should also make for an exciting atmosphere. We can't wait!
