Yuresh Maharaj new Liberty Holdings Group FD

Liberty Holdings has appointed Yuresh Maharaj CA(SA) as its new Group Financial Director.

Chartered accountant (SA) Yuresh Maharaj has been appointed new Group Financial Director of Liberty Holdings Limited, effective immediately.

David Munro, Chief Executive of Liberty, said of the appointment:

“We are pleased that Yuresh has been appointed to this important role. Yuresh has extensive experience within the insurance industry and since joining Liberty in 2015, has been an integral part of the finance team as the Executive Head of Finance for the Group. His appointment underscores the depth and quality of people within our management structures.”

Yuresh holds an honours degree in accounting from the University of Natal, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2001. In September 2015, Yuresh was appointed Executive Head of Finance at Liberty Holdings. Prior to this he was a partner at Deloitte within the insurance and actuarial practice – a post he held for nine years.
