Badibanga ‘Badi’ Promesse (pictured) was appointed Regional Director at CIMA Africa, effective 1 August. Badi has been a Strategic Account Director at CIMA since 2010, leading the region’s direct activities by managing its operations and driving both growth and strategy across Africa.

Badi said of his appointment:
"I commend Samantha Louis [outgoing Regional Director] for her outstanding leadership quality and management style that saw the region grow tremendously over the years. I intend to build on her solid foundation to take CIMA Africa to a new level of success."
Badi will focus on increasing market penetration of the CIMA qualification in Africa, growing the brand and maintaining the relevance of the CIMA offering. His role will be instrumental as CIMA and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) move to implement a newly formed accounting professional association, which will come into effect in January next year.
