Bothwell Mazarura nominated for the 2021 CFO Awards

Bothwell has been nominated for the work he has done as the CFO of Kumba Iron Ore.

Bothwell Mazarura has been nominated for the 2021 CFO Awards for his work as the CFO of Kumba Iron Ore. He was also nominated for the 2019 CFO Awards.

At the annual ‘Oscars for South African finance professionals’, which is now entering its seventh year, CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions are recognised and rewarded for their outstanding performance and leadership.

Bothwell has a B.AccSc degree from UNISA and is an accredited CA in three jurisdictions – South Africa, Zimbabwe, and England and Wales.

Prior to joining Kumba Iron Ore as CFO in 2017, Bothwell served as CFO and executive director at Wescoal Holdings since July 2016. He previously held various senior financial roles at Lonmin from 2010, including head of group finance and head of treasury. Prior to this, he held a position as a partner at Deloitte from 2002. During his tenure at Deloitte, he also spent some time working in the United Kingdom.
