Standard Bank has appointed Bulelwa Mdlophane as its new chief financial officer for Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Global Market. Mdlophane says the appointment as CFO came after she had been “filling in” the role for almost 12 months.
Mdlophane, who began her career at Deloitte, where she stayed as an audit manager for three years post articles, has been with Standard Bank for just shy of eight years. She began her career in banking at Standard Bank in PBB Card Finance, joining CIB Finance in 2012. In 2014, she was appointed CFO for the MMI Rewards Programme, and later re-joined Standard Bank in CIB Finance, supporting the Global Markets business as part of the Financial Insights and Analytics team since then.
