CFO Andile Dawn Mbatha secures nomination for the 2026 CFO Awards

Andile Dawn Mbatha, chief financial officer of the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC), has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards. With a strong track record in finance, governance and public-sector leadership, she joins a distinguished group of finance leaders being recognised for their contribution to organisational excellence and people-centred leadership.

Andile Dawn Mbatha is a chartered accountant and accomplished finance executive who currently serves as chief financial officer of the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC). She has developed a distinguished career in finance, governance, auditing and public-sector leadership, with extensive experience across both the public and private sectors.

Before joining the IEC, Mbatha served as a board member of Cricket South Africa for nearly a year and was an audit committee member of CATHSSETA for close to two years. She holds a bachelor of accounting science from the University of Pretoria.

Dubbed the “Oscars of Finance”, the CFO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.

The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CFO of the Year title, will be announced.
