Charl Keyter, the chief financial officer at Sibanye-Stillwater, has been appointed as the interim chief commercial and development officer, effective immediately.
Charl Keyter, the chief financial officer at Sibanye-Stillwater, has been appointed as the interim chief commercial and development officer, effective immediately. He has taken over the new role following the resignation of Laurent Charbonnier. In addition to this interim role, Charl will continue his normal duties as CFO.
Last year, Charl was nominated for the 2024 CFO Awards for his work as the CFO of Sibanye-Stillwater. He joined the multinational mining and metals processing group as a management accountant. In 2005 he was appointed acting senior manager of finance for the mine’s Venezuela operation. He was later promoted to group head of international finance and vice president in 2010 and became CFO in 2013.
He has also previously served on the audit committee at Minerals Council South Africa.
Charl holds a B.Com (Accounting) degree from the University of Johannesburg and a Masters in Business Administration from the North-West University.
