Decision Inc. group CFO Joanne Tanner has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards in recognition of her leadership and contribution to the finance profession. She joins a distinguished group of finance executives who will be celebrated at the awards gala on 26 November.
Joanne Tanner has served as group CFO of global technology services company Decision Inc. since April 2022, where she oversees the organisation’s financial strategy and supports its continued growth.
Before joining Decision Inc., Joanne spent eleven years with Tarsus Technology Group. She joined the business as group treasury and risk manager in 2010, was promoted to group finance executive in 2014 and was appointed group financial director in 2019. Earlier in her career, she held finance leadership roles as financial controller for Sub-Saharn Africa at Gemalto and head of finance at MotorOne, a subsidiary of WesBank.
Joanne began her professional journey at Deloitte South Africa, completing her articles before spending a period in the firm’s US and Canadian practices as a senior auditor in 2007.
Dubbed the “Oscars of Finance”, the CFO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CFO of the Year title, will be announced.
