DJ takes over the position after an eight-month personal break.
DJ Schreuder, a chartered accountant with more than 20 years of experience in senior finance roles, has joined real estate company Amdec Group as CFO.
DJ joins the company after having taken an eight-month break following five-and-a-half years as CFO at Tessara, a post-harvest solutions provider for table grapes and berries that was bought by AgroFresh in mid-2023.
The CFO describes himself on his LinkedIn profile as having “built a reputation for driving exceptional financial performance and strategic growth in both listed companies and private enterprises”.
He says: “I leverage my dual expertise in finance and industrial psychology to enhance financial management and operational efficiency.”
During his tenure as CFO at Tessara, he led the company in achieving solid financial growth over a span of five years. During this time, the company implemented SAP.
“This performance culminated in Tessara winning the Best Private Equity Deal Award in South Africa for 2023,” he stated on LinkedIn.
DJ has previously held senior positions at other food companies such as Astral. He has a CTA qualification as well as an advanced certificate in auditing from the University of Cape Town.
