eThekwini Municipality CFO Sandile Mnguni takes on debt officer role

Sandile will be taking up the debt officer role along with his CFO role, following the retirement of Krish Kumar.

eThekwini Municipality has announced that its recently appointed CFO Sandile Mnguni will also be taking on the role of debt officer, starting February.

Sandile takes over from former CFO Krish Kumar, who has also retired from his position as debt officer of the municipality.

The appointment of debt officers came into effect after the Johannesburg Stock Exchange passed a new listing requirement in 2021 that companies listed on the exchange should have a debt officer.

Sandile has over 15 years management experience after serving his articles at the Office of the Auditor-General and has worked for Ithala Development Finance Corporation as the group CFO and was previously the eThekwini Municipality head of expenditure. He has also held the position of senior manager at the Auditor-General South Africa and the position of director at Bonakude Consulting . Sandile is a qualified CA by profession and holds a B.Com honours degree in accounting, as well as an MBA.
