Pravashni Nirghin has been appointed as the CFO of the manufacturing business.
Pravashni Nirghin has been appointed as Hulamin’s CFO as of 1 July. She is a qualified chartered accountant with over 15 years of post-article experience and over a decade of international experience.
Before this, she held roles as interim chief financial officer and head of group financial reporting. In her interim role as CFO, she oversaw the finance, procurement, risk, and information technology departments, demonstrating exceptional leadership and financial acumen in steering the company's financial strategy. Her contributions included the delivery and maintenance of a robust finance control framework, emphasising compliance and providing necessary training across the organisation.
Hulamin is one of the leading manufacturing businesses in South Africa, listed on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange, and has carved out a niche in the global aluminium rolled products market. She is an accomplished Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 17 years of extensive experience in finance, specialising in managing overall financial functions, group and statutory financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. She is proficient in multi-currency accounting, business unit acquisitions, and disposals.
Pravashni’s educational background includes a postgraduate degree in digital business from the University of Witwatersrand Business School. She also obtained an honours in accounting science from the University of South Africa and a BCom from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
