Speaking about her mentorship role to CFO South Africa, she said: “I feel it is a requirement for CFOs to uplift and empower younger employees. In some instances, we shouldn’t allow people to stumble in areas where we have the ability to help. It is important for your team to know that there’s someone to talk to… CFOs should be the most approachable people in the business.”

The annual 'Oscars for South African CFOs', the CFO Awards recognise CFOs of listed companies, large corporations, state-owned entities and government institutions, and awards them for outstanding performance and leadership.

Established in 1940, the IDC is a national development finance institution set up to promote economic growth and industrial development. It is owned by the South African government under the supervision of the Economic Development Department. It provides finance for industrial development projects, plays a catalytic role in promoting partnerships across industries within and outside South African borders, and promote regional economic growth.
