Implats appoints Meroonisha Kerber as new CFO

Impala Platinum (Implats) has appointed Meroonisha Kerber after the resignation of Brenda Berlin.

Meroonisha Kerber is currently finance VP at AngloGold Ashanti, where she has worked closely with CFO of the Year 2018 Christine Ramon. The two female finance execs attended the CFO Awards together. "Well done Meroonisha! I am so proud of you!," commented Christine on LinkedIn after the news broke.

Meroonisha previously worked for Anglo American Platinum as Head of Financial Accounting. She will be taking up the role of Chief Financial Officer of Implats from the beginning of August. Brenda Berlin, previous CFO of Implats, will then be stepping down after announcing her resignation in February.

Former CFO of Implats, Dawn Earp, will also be reappointed to the board as an independent, non-executive director.
