London’s Financial Times recognised Investec Private Banking and Wealth & Investment as the best private bank and wealth manager in South Africa (for the fourth consecutive year) at the Global Private Banking Awards.

The Awards dinner, hosted in London, was attended by more than 220 bankers. There were 81 awards in total, celebrating excellence in private banking. Private banks are judged on the progress they have made in their business/growth strategy and how they were able to boost inflows and profits. They are also evaluated on their client relationship management blueprints and asked how they have adapted portfolio management, asset allocation and product strategy to meet investors' changing needs and attitude to risk.

Investec Wealth & Investment manages assets totalling more than R775 billion globally and is the third-largest private client investment house in the UK. It is working to expand its international footprint, with 15 offices in the UK; three in Switzerland; offices in Ireland, Guernsey (Channel Islands), Hong Kong and Mauritius.
