The Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) is the authority dedicated to enhancing audit quality and protecting the public interest in South Africa.

Established under the Auditing Profession Act, the IRBA’s mandate includes setting auditing standards, conducting audit inspections, and setting standards for auditing education and competencies. The regulatory authority has thrown its weight behind the 2024 Finance Indaba, as a Silver Partner.

The annual Finance Indaba is the largest gathering of finance professionals in the Southern Hemisphere and has been widely regarded as the premier finance conference in Africa since its establishment in 2016.
