BetterHome Group welcomes Johan Small as CFO, strengthening financial leadership to drive the vision of empowering South African homeownership.

BetterHome Group has announced the appointment of Johan Small as CFO. He is a chartered accountant with a masters in taxation, Johan brings a wealth of expertise to the role, bolstering the company’s financial foundation as it pursues its vision of helping more South Africans become homeowners.

“I am thrilled to join a forward-thinking business with a clear understanding of its vision and purpose,” Johan said. With over a decade of experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, and retail sectors, Johan's expertise will be instrumental in driving BetterHome Group’s financial growth.

Johan’s professional journey began with Deloitte, where he completed his articles. His most recent role was commercial finance executive for the listed RCL Foods Group. Johan's other academic achievements include a BCom (Hons) from the University of Pretoria. He successfully passed the SAICA Initial Test of Competence in 2012 and completed a year of academic traineeship at the Department of Taxation during the same year.

He took over the reins from 1 June 2024
