Jurgens Myburgh new Mediclinic CFO

post-title

Petrus Jurgens Myburgh (pictured) has been appointed executive director and group CFO of Mediclinic International, effective 1 August.

Edwin Hertzog, Mediclinic chairman, said in a statement:

"We have known Jurgens for many years: when he was at Standard Bank he worked on a number of major Mediclinic corporate transactions and this has given him a valuable insight into the company… His recent experience as the CFO at Datatec, a geographically diversified and dual listed international company, will position him well for his new role at Mediclinic."

Myburgh is taking over the CFO role from Craig Tingle, who announced earlier this year that he would be taking an early retirement as of 15 June. Between the time that Tingle leaves and Myburgh takes up the post, Mediclinic's finance team will report to Danie Meintjes, CEO.
