Komathie Govender joins Innovation Hub as CFO

Komathie brings a wealth of public sector experience to the Innovation Hub.

Komathie Govender, a chartered accountant with over 15 years of executive management experience, has joined The Innovation Hub, a subsidiary of the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency, as CFO. 

Komathie has served on various board committees, most notably on the audit committee of the Gauteng Film Commission’s Board, and the investigating committee of the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors. 

Komathie’s career includes spending just over four years at the Auditor-General of South Africa, two years as a manager responsible for the audit of public entities and just over a year as senior manager responsible for local municipalities, public entities and municipal entities.  

“I am excited about the opportunity to positively impact the innovation and entrepreneurship agenda of our country and look forward to working with the dynamic leadership of the Innovation Hub in my tenure as the incoming CFO,” she says. “I am thankful for the tremendous work already achieved by the Hub’s executive leadership and my predecessor, Beverly Mmamedupi Nkwana, and all the CFOs that served before her.”
