Meet ArcelorMittal South Africa’s new CFO, Siphamandla Mthethwa

CFO Siphamandla Mthethwa will join ArcelorMittal SA as its new finance boss in July.

ArcelorMittal South Africa has announced the appointment of Siphamandla Mthethwa as its new CFO, starting from 1 July.

The company stated that his starting date might be sooner, if circumstances permit. He will take over from Suretha van Wyk, who has been acting as interim CFO since October 2022.

Siphamandla will join the company from the Airports Company of South Africa, where he is currently CFO. Previously, he has also served as the CFO of Sentech SOC and SA: Central Energy Fund. Before that, he was a senior finance executive at Eskom and served in various managerial positions at Absa and Standard Bank.

Siphamandla has completed the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School and the CFO Executive Programme at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He completed his articles with Deloitte South Africa, where he qualified as a CA(SA).
