Redefine Properties has announced the appointment of Ntobeko Nyawo as its new CFO with effect from 1 March 2021, when current CFO Leon Kok will take over as the company’s new COO.

Ntobeko has over 16 years’ experience as a senior finance executive and has served as COO and CFO at Alexander Forbes Investments, as FD of Alexander Forbes Emerging Markets.

During his tenure at Alexander Forbes, Ntobeko served as a member of their executive and audit and risk committees and was a key member of the finance team that relisted the company in 2014.

He currently serves as the COO at Stanlib

“We are delighted to welcome Ntobeko to our team. His depth of experience as a finance and investment executive, on audit and risk committees and in key transformational roles, including in the migration to digital channels, makes him an ideal candidate to add significant value to the core leadership of our business,” says Redefine chairperson Sipho Pityana.

“This appointment also frees up Leon to take over as COO at a crucial time. Leon’s depth of experience in finance and property and his leadership will help take us forward as we chart an exciting new path, while navigating ongoing economic volatility."
