Roger Rooden takes on CFO role at BMW Group Financial Services South Africa

Roger Rooden has taken on the role of CFO of BMW Group Financial Services South Africa, succeeding Irene Koeppel.

Roger has held several key positions globally for the BMW Group Financial Services brand, with the most recent being CFO of BMW Northern Europe. He has also served as  CFO of BMW Group Financial Services in Japan from 2017 to 2019. 

His introduction to the automated industry started with the ING Group, where he worked for 18 years in the banking division before joining ING Car Lease in 2007. ING Car Lease was later acquired by Alphabet, which is BMW Group Financial Services’ fleet management arm.

Commenting on his appointment, Roger said, “I firmly believe that growth and profitability result from a combination of customer focus, operational excellence, and close collaboration – particularly between our National Sales Company (NSC), National Financial Services Company (NFSC), and our retail partners. In leading this multi-talented and technologically savvy finance team, I intend to help shape financing strategies and decisions for the future."
