Ben la Grange has stepped down as Steinhoff CFO, replaced by acting CFO Philip Dieperink

Steinhoff CFO Ben la Grange (pictured), cleared of any wrongdoing in the company’s recent accounting scandal, has left his position, replaced by Philip Dieperink, the finance head of the company’s UK business, who will take over in an acting capacity.

Steinhoff has said that La Grange will now focus on fixing the sudden and significant $2.9 billion gap in the company’s finances, concentrating on “the preservation and procurement of liquidity in the group”, along with finalising its 2017 accounts.

Steinhoff said:

“While the Group has achieved some degree of stabilisation in its operating businesses, significant near-term liquidity is still required in certain of the business units.”
