Tsundzukani Mhlanga nominated for 2023 CFO Awards

The African Rainbow Minerals FD joins the nominees competing for the CFO of the Year title.

African Rainbow Minerals FD Tsundzukani Mhlanga has been nominated for the 2023 CFO Awards.

She joins the list of finance executives who will be competing for the coveted CFO of the Year title at the annual “Oscars of Finance”, which is now entering its 10th year!

The CFO Awards have a proud history of recognising and celebrating excellence. The 10th Annual CFO Awards will be an exceptional celebration of the finest in finance of 2023, but will also shine a spotlight on 10 years of winners, recognising the enormous contribution made by finance leaders to the economy and direction of South Africa for the last decade.

Tsundzukani has been the FD at African Rainbow Minerals since 2020 after serving as the company’s CFO for a year. Before this, she was the executive director of group finance and administration of ItalTile from 2018 until 2020.

Prior to joining ItalTile in 2017 as its FD, she served as an independent consultant, as well as the financial director at Ascension Properties. Before that, Tsundzukani was the acting CFO of Alexkor SOC. She served on various board subcommittees and oversaw the finance, procurement and risk management functions of Alexkor as well as its joint venture operations.

Tsundzukani is a qualified chartered accountant (SA) with an MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business. She completed her financial management articles (TOPP) at Edcon Holdings and in 2009 joined Pembani Coal Carolina Propriety, where she held the position of finance and procurement manager.

Tsundzukani was also nominated for the 2020 CFO Awards, for her work as African Rainbow Minerals’ CFO.
