University of Cape Town CFO Vincent Motholo has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards, recognising his distinguished contribution to finance leadership, governance and the accounting profession.
Vincent Mohau Motholo is a finance leader and chartered accountant, currently serving as the chief financial officer at the University of Cape Town and as the non-executive chairman of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (Saica). He was also a director and partner of SNG Grant Thornton for about four years. He was also a senior lecturer at Unisa for almost eight years.
Vincent holds a bachelor of commerce honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Dubbed the “Oscars of Finance”, the CFO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CFO of the Year title, will be announced.
