Craig Sumption joined Hatch Africa early in 2007 as the financial manager for a joint venture it was working on with two other consulting engineering firms. After five years, as the venture was winding down, he moved into a finance role within the company’s Infrastructure business unit. In 2015, he was promoted to regional director of finance for Hatch’s Africa, Europe, Middle East and India (AME) region.
Before that, he served as the financial director for various small companies, after completing his articles at Deloitte in 1992.
For his work as Hatch Africa's FD, Craig was nominated for the 2023 CFO Awards.
