Joy Malete has been the CFO of Discovery Health Medical Scheme since April 2021. Before that, she was the director of controllership at Visa. She also served as a finance strategy consultant for Ambani Africa for two years, coinciding with both these roles.
Joy started her career at Deloitte South Africa as a trainee accountant and later became an auditor at the firm. After that, she served in various finance management roles throughout Stanlib.
She is currently studying an MPhil degree in corporate strategy from GIBS Business School, and already has a BCom honours degree in accounting from the University of Johannesburg. She is a qualified CA.
