Aarti Takoordeen named AECI’s new CFO

Aarti, who has been CFO at the JSE for the last nine years, has been appointed as the new CFO at AECI.

AECI has announced the appointment of Aarti Takoordeen as its new CFO with effect from 20 May 2022. She takes over from Mark Kathan, who will be heading up AECI Mining.

“I am excited to join the AECI leadership team and look forward to being part of driving the group’s strategic growth agenda,” Aarti, who is also a CFO Awards judge, says about the appointment.

According to the company, her role will include being responsible for mergers and acquisitions, information technology, enterprise risk management, and strategic projects. She will also be appointed chairman of AECI Property Services.

Aarti has served as the group CFO of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange for the past nine years. Prior to this, she held executive roles at Johnson Controls International and Hewlett-Packard across Middle East and Africa.
