Buffalo Coal interim CFO Graham du Preez steps down

Graham, who has been with the company since 2016, has resigned to pursue other endeavours.

JSE-listed Buffalo Coal has announced the resignation of Graham du Preez as its interim CFO and corporate secretary in order to pursue other endeavours. 

In a statement, the company thanked Graham for his service and wished him all the best for the future. 

The company also stated that it is finalising the process of identifying and appointing a permanent successor for Graham. 

Graham is a senior finance executive with a track record of capable leadership in publicly traded international mining companies. 

He was appointed as Buffalo Coal’s interim CFO after its CFO Emma Oosthuizen was promoted to interim CEO in August 2019. Before this he served as the strategic corporate executive and corporate executive at Buffalo. He also served as interim CFO from October 2016 to October 2018. 

Prior to his role at Buffalo, he was the executive VP of Uranium One. He has also worked for Investec, PwC and CSTIM Consulting. He is a chartered accountant with a higher diploma in tax, a B.Comm honours degree in accounting and has completed courses in geology, mining and mineral processing.
